OUR HISTORY

2000

THE BEGINNING

NLTH began as the First Pentecostal Church of Havana founded by John B. Rednour Sr. in March of 2000. The first service was held in the Rednour’s home with this promise, “Behold I set before you an open door and no man can shut.”

Soon after FPC of Havana move to a storefront on North Main Street with the mission that ‘Every Soul Counts.”

2004

THE MOVE TO 201 S. MAIN ST.

First Pentecostal Church relocated to 201 South Main Street in Havana, FL in 2010 where a whole city block was purchased with a vision and theme, “Handfuls of Promise.”

2017

THE TRANSITION

In 2017, the First Pentecostal Church of Havana transitioned the New Life Tabernacle UPC family in Tampa, Florida and renamed New Life Tabernacle UPC @ Havana. Under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Davy, the church welcomed its Associate Pastor, Dedric L.Scott Sr., in April. Pastor and Lady Adama Scott have four children – Tatiyana, Damari, Dedric Jr., and Dominic.

Since transitioning to NLT at Havana in 2017 over 150 have been baptized in Jesus Name and many have been filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost.

We are in the beginning stages of growth but we know greater days are ahead of us.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of  JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
